While I was watching a re-run of "Everyone Loves Raymond" today.. this particular episode reminded me of a real-life episode that I'm sharing with you today. This is a true story...
My sister's husband, Donny, went into their bathroom - which is a small room with only a toilet. When he comes out, he questions my sister about why there would be an unpopped popcorn kernel on the floor. Puzzled, she responded that she had no idea.. because surely she would not have eaten popcorn while on the potty.
*ACTUAL PICTURE*
So, an hour or so later, she went into the bathroom.. and she also saw the unpopped kernel. She then wondered why Donnie had not picked it up.. he obviously SAW IT, but he left it there. So, SHE left it there. For days and days, neither of them picked it up. When you sat on the pot, it was right infront of you, near the door. This was a standoff.
My delightful sister devised a plan to "raise the bar"... So, she ceremoniously and strategically placed a small ceramic mouse with a small tea set, along with 2 other unpopped popcorn kernels.. and had a small, yet proper, tea party. Proud of her new plan, she anxiously awaited for Donnie's reaction...
*ACTUAL PICTURE*
Then.... the moment finally came.. he went into the bathroom.. then he came out.. and ... NOTHING.
No mention of the new addition in the bathroom. As the weeks grew into months...the area grew to include holiday decorations, and other mouse friends... and still.. NOTHING. Apparently, Donnie enjoyed his new little bathroom friends.
What is the moral of this story?... Well, there is no moral, really. I just think its funny.
